Notice is hereby given to all persons liable to pay taxes on the October 1, 2022 Grand List in the Town of Scotland, Connecticut: I have a warrant to collect all Real Estate and Personal Property tax with a mill rate of 40.00; and all Motor Vehicle tax with a mill rate of 32.46. 

 

Real Estate and Personal Property taxes are due and payable on July 1, 2023 and January 1, 2024. The Motor Vehicle taxes are due and payable on July 1, 2023. The last day to pay the July 1, 2023 installment without interest is August 1, 2023. Payments made or postmarked on August 2, 2023 will be considered LATE and will accrue interest at the rate of 1.5% per month, back to the due date, or a minimum of $2.00.  

 

PLEASE NOTE THE REVENUE DEPARTMENT WILL BE CLOSED TUESDAY JULY 4TH IN OBSERVANCE OF INDEPENDENCE DAY.

 

PAYMENT OPTIONS: visit our website www.scotlandct.org  Or pay by Charge card/Debit card at the Town Hall. There is a small vendor fee for this service.

Mail in your tax payments: Town of Scotland, PO Box 202, Willimantic CT  06226. It must be postmarked no later than August 1, 2023. 

Pay in person: Monday to Wednesday 8am to 5pm, Thursday 8am to 7:30pm Friday Closed.
