REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT NUMBER 11
TOWN OF CHAPLIN, HAMPTON AND SCOTLAND
NOTICE OF BUDGET REFERENDUM July 1, 2025
The electors of the Towns of Chaplin, Hampton, and Scotland and all persons who are entitled to vote in Town meeting are hereby warned and notified of the referendum to be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 for the following purpose:
To act upon the Proposed Budget for the District’s fiscal year July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026, which was adopted by the Board of Education on April 1, 2025, rejected by referendum on May 6, 2025, adopted on May 20, 2025, rejected by referendum on June 3, 2025, and then adopted by the Board of Education on June 18, 2025, and to appropriate the sums estimated and set forth in said Budget to the purpose indicated.
A vote of “Yes” or “No” shall be taken on the following question:
“SHALL THE BUDGET OF $7,275,881.00 FOR THE OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF THE REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT 11 PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
JULY 1, 2025 TO JUNE 30, 2026 BE APPROVED?”

Voting will be in the following polling places:
- Town of Chaplin - 106 Phoenixville Road, Chaplin, CT Chaplin Volunteer Fire Department
- Town of Hampton - 164 Main St, Hampton, CT – Community Room at Town Hall
- Town of Scotland - 47 Brook Rd, Scotland, CT Scotland Volunteer Fire Department
Polls shall be open from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm. Absentee ballots will be available in the office of the town clerk in Chaplin, Hampton, and Scotland during their regular office hours.
Persons qualified to vote at the Annual Meeting who are not electors will vote in their respective polling places. Pursuant to Connecticut law, no person who is eligible to vote in more than one town in the District is eligible to cast more than one vote at the referendum.

Persons qualified to vote at the Annual Meeting who are not electors will vote in their respective polling places. Pursuant to Connecticut law, no person who is eligible to vote in more than one town in the District is eligible to cast more than one vote at the referendum.
