In accordance with Section 12-110 of the Connecticut General Statutes, the Scotland Board of Assessment Appeals will hold a public meeting for the purpose of hearing appeals related to the assessment of real estate, personal property and motor vehicles on the Grand List of October 1, 2025 and the Supplemental Grand List of October 1, 2024. Taxpayers’ appeals will be heard on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 starting at 6:00 pm by appointment. Appointment confirmation will be mailed to applicants who have filed applications in a timely manner.
Applications and supporting documentation (examples include, but are not limited to, real estate appraisal, bill of sale for real estate purchase, vehicle bill of sale and/or repair bills, photos showing condition of vehicle, and photo of odometer reading) must be received in writing no later than February 20, 2025. Applications are available in the Assessor’s Office or online at the Assessor’s page on the town website.
